Violet Knickman

Feburary 2, 1926--August 16, 2018

Violet Virginia (Boehm) Knickman, age 92, of Council Bluffs, passed away on August 16, 2018, at the Amelia House in Council Bluffs.

Violet was born on February 22, 1926, in Council Bluffs, to the late Carl O. and Marie C. (Jensen) Larsen. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Iowa School for the Deaf and Risen Son Christian Village. She belonged to St. Paul's Evangelical Country Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Orville Boehm; second husband; Marvin Knickman, and son Robert Boehm.

Violet is survived by her sons; Michael Boehm (LuAnn), of Treynor, Iowa, Thomas Boehm (Jeanette), of Silver City, Iowa, Richard Boehm (Deb), of Council Bluffs; daughter-in-law, Charlene Boehm, of Council Bluffs; step-son, Jack Knickman (Judy), of Lincoln, Neb.; step-daughters, Lois Rageth (Ken), of Wyo., Helen Franklin (Al), of Omaha, Neb.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m., on Monday, August 20, 2018 at St. Paul's Evangelical Country Church, with Reverend Aaron Simons officiating. Violet was laid to rest in the church cemetery.
