Scott R. Johnson

Scott passed away on November 6, 2018 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa.

Celebration of life memorial graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Iowa.

Memorials may be directed to the Red Oak Eagles Club or the Red Oak Eagles Club Riders.

Scott Randall Johnson, the son of Gary M. and Peggy A (Bryant) Johnson was born February 2, 1965 in Shenandoah, Iowa

Scott grew up in Essex, Iowa and attended school in Essex for two years. Then at the age of 7 years old, he went to Iowa School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs, Iowa and graduated in 1984. He lived in Red Oak, Iowa with his little dog KoKo. He worked as a cook in restaurants and Café. When he wasn't working, he was down to his mothers and worked in the yard and garden. He was a member of Team Tap, for Relay for Life. He was a Cancer Survivor for over 20 years. He was a proud member of the Eagles and Eagles Riders of Red Oak, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father and three brothers, Karl Hubert, Gregary Howard, Clint Andrew Johnson, on sister Trina Renie Johnson; grandparents-Hubert and Frances Bryant, Perl and Violet Johnson. Three Aunts-Ruby Livingston, Arlene Burnison and Shirley Bengtson. Nine uncles-Charles Bryant, Dallas and Oren Johnson, Glen Burnison, Jim Bengtson, John Bergman, Kenneth Livingston, Ray Hockenberry and Raymond Bryant as well as great Aunts and Uncles and a great grandmother.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Johnson of Essex, Iowa; aunt Lula Hockenberry of Columbus, NE, uncle Harold Dinsmore and wife Eloise of Farragut, IA, aunt JoAnn Bregman of Nolensville, TN as well as numerous cousins and dear friends.

Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home, Shenandoah, Iowa handles his funeral arrangements.
